What do you do when there is a pile of textbooks that you have NO desire whatsoever to read?
You take pictures of them and post them on your blog. *sigh* Just one more semester to go….

About Jamie Packer Photography
I am an on location photographer serving the northern Oregon coast. Here you will find highlights from recent sessions as well as a few personal posts about life in general. My hope is that as you look around this site you will get a feel for who I am both as a photographer and a person. Thank you so much for visiting!
I spent last weekend in Seattle attending the Go{4}Pro Building the Biz workshop. I came away with SO many ideas. I am so excited to start implementing them… I just need to sort through my pages and pages…. and more pages… of notes that I took! Leah truly has the heart of a teacher and I am so glad she was willing to share her secrets to success with us. Not only did I learn a ton, I got to meet some wonderful ladies and tour around Pike’s Place Market (I had never been) and of course take pictures (and yes, I am not in any of the pics, I was of course BEHIND the camera
)
Oh. my. goodness. I had SO much fun with this family! These kids have the best expressions and kept me laughing the whole time (and seriously wore me out... I came home and crashed on the couch!) Thank you guys for the fun day! PS- I think I need to branch out to sessions that don't always involve 4 children![]()
Between my two sisters, I have 8 nieces. And if you are a four year old, it is difficult to keep track of all those girls’ names. Which is why my son collectively refers to his cousins as “the girls”. I am pretty sure he doesn’t know half their names.
All “the girls” and their parents came to visit a few weeks ago. Since I have such a supportive family, they had no problem being my guinea pigs and letting me snap some pictures of them. Even if it was freezing and one of them had a fever. (Em, you are a trooper!)
Thanks Kelli & Steve! Enjoy!
This girl…
gave me the nickname “Aunt Moe”
taught me to bowl using the bumpers
has a voice like an angel
and lectured me not to kiss a boy unless I was going to marry him.
I can't believe she is going into her last year of high school.
Love you, Kae Bug. Thanks for letting me take your pictures. Even if you did get beat up in the process!
PS- Hope you follow your own kissing advice![]()
I feel as though my feet have been wet for a long time now. For years I have struggled and embraced and fought this passion of mine to see the world through a piece of glass, slowly taking two steps forward and one step back into deeper waters. And now I find myself here. Here where a dream and a risk collide. Here, ready to dive in headfirst. And maybe (most likely) get in over my head. But I am to the point that I don’t care (or at least I will say that I don’t). Because something inside is screaming at me that it is time to step out of the boat.
So here I am. Venturing out into possibility and vulnerability in the name of business. Taking the first steps on what I hope to be an awesome journey. And I would love for you to be a part of it.
